On October 17, 2006, President Bush signed the
Military Commissions Act of 2006
This act, among other things does the following:

  • Repeals Habeas Corpus
  • Allows indefinite imprisonment
  • Authorizes Torture
  • Absolves Bush and the CIA of all war crimes
  • Repudiates the Geneva Conventions

Please note that the above is specifically authorized inside the United States!
Currently, the targets of all the above are so-called "enemy combatants". This designation has no definition to speak of. The current one being so vague that the creator of this very web site may be considered an enemy combatant. What used to be "free political speech" is no longer guaranteed.
I live in New Hampshire, and therefore wanted to know if the New Hampshire congressional delegation voted for this abomination or not.

I was appalled to find out that all four in our delegation voted in favor. To be specific, these include:

  • Senator John Sununu
  • Senator Buddy Gregg
  • Congressman Jeb Bradley
  • Congressman Charlie Bass
I've made it my mission to retire these people from "public service" as soon as possible. Currently, only Bradley and Bass are up for reelection. There wasn't much time between the October signing, and the election. Getting the word out is difficult. I decided that the best way would be to put up outdoor signs.

The sign appears on the photos page.

The idea is to place this sign right next to a candidate's campaign sign. The reader can then see, with the giant arrow pointing the way, exactly who voted, literally, for torture.

I have also produced some "mini-posters" using the Bass and Bradley "look and feel", designed to be printed and distributed, put on bulletin boards, whatever.

There has been almost no time to do this, and I have to work for a living. The signs themselves cost $900, and I expect to have torture supporters stealing or vandalizing them.

This is a small site. Take what you want. Please help get the word out.

New Hampshire deserves better.
